Lepando was formed in 2007 by three partners, each with their own expertise in the field of motorcycle trade. CINDY DU/Manager Worked in the Chinese motorcycle industry in a number of positions during the last seven years. After finishing her BSc. degree in foreign trade, she started as sales person for one of the largest Chinese motorcycle manufacturers, Lifan group (www.lifan.com), which has now extended its reach to cars, generators and busses. She was promoted to department manager of European sales, in which function she worked for three years, regularly visiting customers in Europe in order to align the sales strategy of importers with development efforts made by the Lifan group with regard to new motorcycles. By doing this she has become quite familiar with other Chinese motorcycle brands. Under her supervision, Lifan increased their export value to Europe from 5 mEuro to 30 mEuro, after which she was promoted to director of Lifan international sales of the generator branch, located in Shanghai, where she currently resides. After having worked for a Chinese conglomerate for nearly a decade, she is now pursuing her own dreams as president of Lepando, assisting Western buyers of motorcycles overtaking the hurdles that are encountered during the buying process. MAARTEN BRAND/engineer Graduated from Delft University, the Netherlands, with a master degree in Mechanical Engineering. After attaining his degree he joined Philips (www.philips.com), a Dutch electronics firm, where he has been doing engineering work for over two years. He has build up an expertise in the mechanical aspects of motorbikes, and electric scooters during his study and during his residence in China. He is currently involved in starting a project that aims to promote electric scooters by distributing electric scooters to employees of a MNC and installing solar panels at this company to recharge them. Maarten will be your contact person for any technical issues. DAVID LIU/Spare parts manager worked in this field for six years, starting with a connecting rod factory. By owning and operating this factory, he gained extensive experience in the business related to spare parts. With a solid background in the production and sales of connecting rods, he decided to extend his business by starting a distribution channel for other spare parts. Mr. Liu today is very knowledgeable of nearly all spare part factories that can be found in China and his knowledge and network allows us to have a expertise and leverage we can hardly go without. Mr. Liu will be in charge in overseeing any spare parts order.
